The book contains fragments of memoirs of various known and less known people, and sketches the cultural and historical context of their creation. In addition to the memories of writers, artists and musicians, the book presents other not very popular characters, whose memoirs, however, have a great value. Complementing the reading is rich graphic design full of archival photographs. Teen ELI Readers is a three-level book series that proposes original and interesting reading stories for children and teenagers learning English at levels A1 to B1. The book is divided into chapters presenting individuals and their memories, as well as more general issues related to memoirs. For better understanding of the text, help is provided by glossaries with translations of selected words at the bottom of the page. In the final part of the book there is an eight-page section that checks the general level of understanding and remembering the text read and the language forms learned, as well as a Syllabus section containing a brief description of the didactic intentions implemented in the book. The book is an excellent tool consolidating the language skills and skills of children and youth, including reading, listening, writing and speaking.
