Prepositions Island Level A1

Preposition Island is a language game based on pirates, adventures and treasures, used to learn English vocabulary related to the placement of objects and people in space. Game character: Board game. Difficulty level: A1 or higher. The game offers the possibility of conducting the game on level A1 or higher (depending on the variant of the game chosen by the teacher). Available to players is a two-sided cardboard board with one side with a pirate island, and on the other a series of illustrations depicting spatial relations with the prepositions that describe them, such as in front of, behind, next to, between, . These prepositions are also found on eight separate tabs. The set is completed by 58 cards with figures and sentences describing their location on the board, with free space in each sentence to insert the appropriate preposition. One of the possible scenarios of the game: Players watch the board with the island of pirates, after which each draws a card with a pirate figure and an incomplete sentence describing its location on the board. The player’s task is to find the drawn character on the board and complete the sentence with the appropriate preposition of the place. For every correctly completed sentence the player receives a gold coin in the form of a token. The winner is the person who accumulates the most chips.
