Three friends, George, Harris and J. plan a two-week boat trip. J. tells the story of this trip, intertwining it with humorous stories, and geographical descriptions of places that pass along the way. Adaptation of the aristocratic novel Jerome K. Jerome Three men in a boat (not counting a dog). Structure: The presented history is divided into chapters and preceded by a map showing the hero’s legacy and the Before You Read Activities section containing exercises introducing the reader into the text of the book in terms of vocabulary and grammar.Glossaries with translations of selected words located at the bottom of each page help to better understand the text. After each chapter there is a two-page After-Reading Activities section summarizing the chapter in terms of the content of the presented history, as well as grammar, vocabulary and known language forms, as well as supporting the development of reading comprehension and effective memorization. The rich graphic design (including illustrations made by renowned illustrators of world-renown books) is an excellent visual commentary to the presented story and promotes a better understanding of the vocabulary and expressions found in the text. The book is an excellent tool consolidating the language competences and skills of young people and adults, including reading, listening, writing and speaking.
